I’ve been a long time follower of Jenn aka The South Dakota Cowgirl, she seems to do it all & does it well. Jenn balances ranch life, photography, jewelry making, cooking & blogging. I know I always say I’m busy but I think she has me beat : )
Oh & Jenn also puts out a yearly calendar & recently has created a variety of holiday, Christmas & assorted notecards that she sells on Etsy.
I love the horse photos that Jenn takes but the colors here are absolutely breathtaking & I had to share this one.

Being a horse lover – or should I say a horse worshiper – I didn’t think I would say this, but my favorite picture is picture number 3. The angle and the colors are just breathtaking. The only detail which would make that picture even more amazing is …. wait for it ….. a horse
a horse roaming somewhere in the distant background. Then I woul be totally in love with the picture. Maybe I can photoshop a pic of my horse.
Great pictures and great blog. Love the title! it is not because we like being around horse s…. that we are not stylish too.

I love Jenn’s work, which I got to see via a FB click of a high school friend.
I am always amazed at how much she gets done in a day or week in SD. I bought one of her turquoise necklaces and it is one of my favorites. Her photos are amazing–just bought her calendar for my parents.

I love the South Dakota Cowgirl’s work. I’m a cowgirl who fell in love with a cityboy, so now I’m stuck in the city, trying to cope with missing the wide open skies, cattle bawling, and more importantly, missing my horses. I love all of Jenn’s work, and when I see a new photo, it makes me feel like I’m back home on the ranch. Love it, and sometimes just those photos help me get through the day!

Missing the country life, I am a student studying fashion marketing. I grew up on a farm and this is my second year a way from home and I’m counting down the days until I can get back to the country and start my own career and life. These pictures remind me of how blessed I was to grow up with such beautiful scenery. They took me back in time for a bit! Thanks Raquel for sharing the South Dakota Cowgirl, I will defiantly be taking a look at what else she has to offer.

Hi Jenn, Your photo’s are really lovely. There is a lot of beauty in South Dakota, sometimes you just have to see it in a special light. Jim and I are moving to the Hermosa area yet this fall. So can I say that I will be a South Dakota Cowgirl too, just an older model!! LOL We still plan to sponsor the 2013 Buck clinic again in Decorah. Do you plan to ride?

I Love Jenn’s work! We are re-doing our 130 old farmhouse kitchen which has never been touched and when it is all shiny and new there is a perfect place just waiting for a print!!!!!!!!

I ride in Texas and I love it but it would be sooo cool to travel and ride through all different states this is absolutely stunning!!!!!!

Jenn’s photos make me want to quit my stressful corporate job in Dallas, buy a horse and a ranch and slow down and enjoy life. I love the sense of peace and “one with nature” feeling that staring at her photos provides me!
